There's a new online game calling Mabinogi that's entering Close Beta in a few days, registrations have just opened.

From what I've heard, this game is very different from other MMORPGS. It seems very similar to Harvest Moon or something like that mixed with MMORPG elements. You do various things such as farming, cooking, even composing/playing music. Information I've seen on battling is a bit unclear, but I've noticed that the battle system seems quite different from the regular point-and-click system nearly every other game has. One video on the main site introduces dungeons, but I don't know if all battling takes place within then. I've also heard from someone who plays the Taiwan version that levels are irrelevant to the gameplay. The game isn't a grindfest to level up like most other games are. Hopefully more details about these aspects will be put up on the main site as the game nears its release date.

Harvest Moon was freakin' boring -__- but this looks pretty interesting. Somehow, the description reminds me of Runescape (does anyone still remember that?)

Aging every saturday is way too fast in my opinion.

Sounds/looks interesting though. Maybe check it out later.
